Alex Bernardin

Head of Project Management
San Francisco Bay Area
Alex Bernardin was a Black in Technology before it was cool ! Coming out of school in the mid nineties when American Online was still mailing CDs, Alex jumped on the dot com wave at CNET in San Francisco. Through busts and booms, Alex has transitioned from managing code, to managing people, to managing projects, frequently as the only person of color in the room.

Alex has been PMP certified by the Project Management Institute, and is also a Certified Scrum Master. He’s currently leading an Agile Transition as the head of Web Development and Project Management at the San Francisco startup Scribd.

He’s also got a stack of about 1,000 comics from the 70s and 80s that he needs to get out of his house, including the first appearance of T’Challa!
